She is being trained now with her yard work mostly complete, is collar conditioned and we are check cording her on birds. She has been around shooting, horses, kids and has a real nice disposition. Seems like just about every summer I hear from a few hunters that are looking for a finished or green broke dog, one they can take out this fall and have a lot of fun with. This summer I have decided to make an exceptional dog available, Teton's Jumpin Jack Flash, we call him Toupee. Toupee, the pick of the litter male, was whelped in May of 2000 and is out of FC and NSTRA CH Teton's Sport and Teton's Powder River. His background is loaded with big name National Field Champions, Field Champions and Dual Champions. He points, backs and retrieves to hand. He hunts hard at gun dog range. I have been working with him continuously all of his life and he can do it all. He will make a very classy hunting dog, NSTRA dog or with a little more exposure to wild birds, an AKC Gun Dog. He is priced at $2,000. Please contact me for all the details. You will find his pedigree, along with those of sire and dam on the website's Teton Kennels page.

Don,
My wife Donna and I wanted to thank you for
Toupee. He LOVES his new home and seems to have adjusted well to the east coast.
I tell my friends that this dog has never seen a blade of Grass or a pheasant in
his life but nobody believes me. He hits the cover HARD and navigates 3 foot
tall sorghum fields as if he were born here. His speed and style make me proud
to have him. He now heels on a leash like a little gentleman and is very
affectionate. He is very clean in the kennel and actually waits for me to let
him out to poop. He doesn't like to mess up his kennel.
Sunday when I called you we were on a pheasant & chuckar hunt. My friend's pointer got some really good practice at backing. I complimented him on this several times......LOL. For some reason he didn't seem amused. After I got off the phone with you I heeded your advice and put the collar back on Toupee. I waited all afternnon for him to bust out so I could give him a zap. I am happy to say he has not given me a chance. He was steady to shot like a pro. I ended up kenneling him up so my friend's pointer could find a bird or two. I didn't want to make him feel toooo bad you know? Guys have big egos and I didn't want to rub his nose in it. I am going to FORGO the one month trial period before I run him in competition. He has proven himself to me and is NOT flagging birds or taking steps. He hunts within acceptable range and responds well to my commands. I will hunt him the remainder of this week and then get in touch with the Eastern German Shorthair Association. They will get me into the walking foot trials. Unfortunately there is no NSTRA in this area so I will have to do some traveling. My only concern is if they will let me participate BEFORE the AKC and American Field send back my new paperwork. We shall see.
Anyhow. I will keep you posted on his progress.
Best
Regards,
Joe
