We regard Bullet as one of the finest dogs we have ever produced. As a competitor, hunter and companion, he was exceptional. He had Shooting Dog range, was very fast and very confident. Bullet has a very strong Greif background. He was out of our bitch, Pasha, a 2X NSTRA Champion and FC Kerlie von Shilo. Bullet sired several very nice litters including the one that produced Slick. |
| Teton's Slick

Slick was retired from competition in 2001 at the age of 8 after earning his 4th NSTRA Championship. Slick continues to hunt and has become a Mearn's machine. He was featured in our "Bird Dogs Forever' TV show for Outdoor Life Network. He has produced excellent pups including numerous NSTRA Champions as well as AKC and American Field Champions. He is the sire of our wonderful Champion, Teton's Saragosa Sly. We have collected and frozen semen from Slick. |
| Teton's Sport (1997- 2006) |
Field Champion (AKC) NSTRA Champion
2000 Finished as NSTRA Champion

Sport was bred by John Merrell in 1997, the 4th breeding of FC Sporty von Rip Traf and An Illusion by Design (Annie). After the NSTRA Endurance Classic in 2001, we decided to start running him in horseback AKC and American Field Trials. He has very good movement and this, along with his great bird finding ability, helped him earn his AKC Field Championship. He has produced excellent pups, that include AKC Field Champions and one dual champion. He is the sire of our FC/AFC Teton's Million Dollar Baby. We have collected and frozen semen from Sport. |
| Teton's Powder River (1998-
) |
2007, Second Series, GSPCA National Amateur Gun Dog Championship | Like Sport, Powder came to us from the legendary John Merrell in 1998 and is the product of two very fine AKC All-Age Field Champions, Lehmschlog's Rueben Kyle and RPM's Snowy River. Powder has exceptional speed and style and was a very big going American Field shooting dog and/or AKC All-Age dog. She has wins in both classes. She produced four excellent litters and her offspring includes a number of AKC and AM Field winners and champions. She is the dam of our FC/AFC Teton's Million Dollar Baby. |
Teton's Saragosa Sly (2002-2011
)![]() |
Champion (American Field) Field Champion (AKC) Amateur Field Champion (AKC)
2005 Second Series, GSPCA Amateur National Championship |
When we bred Slick and Powder we were hoping to recreate our Bullet dog, and Sly's speed, confidence, stamina and style tell us we have succeeded. Sly has the traditional looks of the liver-ticked GSP's with the confident nose and style of Bullet. Sly won the 2005 AFTCA Region 12 Walking Shooting Dog Championship at Willcox, AZ to earn his American Field Championship and finished as an AKC Field Champion in April of 2006. In August of 2006, Sly suffered a compound fracture of his LR femur, requiring a plate and metal screws along with 20 weeks of confinement. He fully recovered and finished as an AKC Amateur Field Champion in April of 2007 by winning another retrieving major. In December of 2009 Sly was diagnosed with thyroid adenocarcinoma. He was given 4-5 months to live, but fought it hard. Sly passed away in June of 2011. He is remembered as one of the great ones by all who knew him. |
